The client is a theme park with over 3 million visitors one a yearly basis.
Business Challenges
- No explicit link between business goals and the accompanying IT support was established.
- Low IT awareness within the organization as a whole.
- Due to the strategic ambitions of the organization, the demand for (more complex) IT services was expected to increase.
Therefore, a long term vision for the IT function was needed.
Our approach
- Desk research and workshops/interviews
- Development of the IT Strategy plan, together with the IT director and other stakeholders
- Communication of the plan via meetings with the board and other key staff
The results
- IT Strategy plan that provided an overview of strategic goals, IT architecture and IT governance structure
- Increased awareness of ICT throughout the organisation
- More pro-active IT support services
- An ongoing process for information planning was developed that is focused on the long term
